Roberto has been involved in Kentucky politics for much of his life and currently serves on the Leadership Team for Indivisible Northern Kentucky. He also produces and cohosts the Indivisible NKY podcast Left In KY. He is a graduate of Boone County High School in Florence, KY. He earned a BA from Georgetown College in Georgtown, KY and a MA in Teaching from Northern Kentucky University in Highland Heights, KY.
Roberto ran for Kentucky State Representative in 2018 and 2020. He has served on the Executive Committee for the Boone County Democratic Party and the Campbell County Democratic Party. In 2022 Roberto served as Coalition Director and Regional Organizing Director on the Charles Booker for US Senate campaign.
Roberto also has experience working with the Kentucky Education Political Action Committee, serving as Building Rep and member of the Contract Negotiating Team for the Boone County Education Assocation.
The very first campaign Roberto volunteered for was in 1982 for Martha Layne Collins for Governor.
He was commissioned as a Kentucky Colonel by Wallace G. Wilkinson in 1990.
